A Darien couple reported to police that their American Express cards were fraudulently used.

The 53-year-old husband told police that nine charges were made at Barnes and Noble online using his American Express card in September.

His 41-year-old wife said that her American Express card was used twice at a pizza place in Brooklyn in October, police said.

Their cards had not been stolen, although the personal financial data from the cards apparently had been, police said.

The case remains under investigation.
