A damp day is on tap for southwestern Connecticut today, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers are likely before noon, with drizzle possible all afternoon. Skies will be cloudy, with a daytime high temperature near 71 degrees. There will be an east wind around 13 mph.

Tonight, a chance of showers is in the forecast, along with patchy fog. It will be cloudy with a low around 66.

Tomorrow, in addition to more showers, thunderstorms are possible, under cloudy skies, the NWS says. The high temperature will be in the mid-70s. A chance of showers and thunderstorms remains in the forecast for nighttime as temperatures dip to around 61 degrees.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 72 degrees. Skies will remain cloudy at night, and the low temperature will be in the 50s.

By Saturday, the weather service, there will be some clearing as skies are expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees.
