There's a "gray" area to the southwestern Connecticut forecast today and tomorrow -- cloudy skies will prevail both days, according to the National Weather Service, with a chance of scattered showers.

The daytime high temperature is expected to be about 70 degrees, with a calm wind conditions at between 4 and 7 mph.

Scattered showers are possible tonight and the temperature is expected to fall to the mid-50s.

The high temperature tomorrow should be near 65 degrees, with a wind from the east between 10 and 13 mph. The chance of precipitation continues tomorrow night, primarily before 9 p.m., the NWS says.

Wednesday breaks the glum weather streak with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature near 80 degrees. Clouds move in at nighttime and the low temperature will be about 60 degrees.

The outlook for Thursday, according to the weather service, is sunny and a high temperature in the mid-70s.
