Darien forecast: Heat + Humidity = Hazard

The heat is on.
A "heat advisory" is in effect today in southwestern Connecticut from noontime to at least 8 p.m., the National Weather warns in a "hazardous weather outlook," because of soaring heat and humidity.
A sizzling dome of high pressure has settled over the region, spiking temperatures into the 90s -- which will feel even hotter because of the high humidity.
Skies today should be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the low-90s, but the heat index could make it feel as though it's over 100. There will be a southwest wind between 8 and 15 mph.
Tonight will partly cloudy, with a low around 75 degrees.
Tomorrow promises to be even hotter, the NWS warns, with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Otherwise, the skies will be mostly sunny, with a high in the 90s. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 73 degrees.
On Saturday, the temperatures again will reach into the 90s, and the is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. .
Sunday will also be hot, with mostly sunny and a high in the low-90s.
