After what seems like weeks of unsettled, unpleasant weather, southwestern Connecticut is in for a stretch of sunny days right through the weekend.

The National Weather Service says that under those sunny skies today, the high temperature should rise to about 71 degrees. There will be a north wind between 10 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tonight should be clear, with a low temperature dipping to about 45 degrees.

Tomorrow should also be sunny, with a high near 64, the NWS says. Overnight will be clear, with a low around 46.

Friday should be sunny, with a high near 64 degrees. Nighttime will also be clear with a low of about 50 degrees.

Saturday also will be sunny, the weather service predicts, with a high near 71 degrees.
