Today promises to be sunny, but not as hot as yesterday, according to the National Weather Service.

However, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms across southwestern Connecticut, the NWS says, after 3 p.m. and into this evening.

The daytime high temperature should be in the low-80s, with a north wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south.

Tonight will be cloudy, with a low temperature around 67 degrees.

Tomorrow there is a chance of showers before 11 a.m. and the high temperature will be about 80 degrees. The nighttime low will be about 67 under partly cloudy skies.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a daytime high temperature in the high-70s.

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon Saturday. The skies are expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 76.
