Today will begin a warming trend as sunny skies blanket southwestern Connecticut for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.

Under clear skies, the daytime high temperature today is expected to rise to about 60 degrees. There will be a slight west wind between 3 and 7 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 44 degrees.

Tuesday is expected to sunny and warmer, with a high near 64. Tomorrow night should be mostly clear, with a low around 45.

On Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny again, with a high near 62 degrees. Overnight, however, there is a chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 51 degrees.

By Thursday, there is a chance of showers, the weather service predicts. It will be cloudy, with a high near 61 degrees.
