Darien girls hockey team takes down Greenwich for fifth consecutive win

The Darien girls hockey team picked up a 4-2 win over Greenwich at the Dorothy Hamill Ice Rink on Wednesday.

Darien's Marissa Baker scored first unassisted in the first minute of the game. Graves of Greenwich retaliated two minutes later by tying the game at 1-1 with assists from Bacon and Ferguson.

Allegra Molkenthin of gave Darien a 2-1 lead after being assisted by Lily Christensen. Graves tied it up at the end of the first with assists from Bacon and Ferguson again.

In the second period, Ellie Bennett scored the game-winning and unassisted goal to make it 3-2 in Darien's favor.

In the third, Julia Arrix scored with two-and-a-half minutes left on the clock. Assists came from Georgia Cassidy and Christensen.

Shannon Hall was in goal for Darien with eight saves.

Darien had 55 shots on goal and Greenwich had 10.
