The Darien girls track team competed at Staples High School on Saturday against Trumbull, Brien McMahon, Fairfield Warde, Ridgefield and Harding.

Megan Keane claimed second place in the 1,000-meter run by clocking in with a time of 3:14.30. Darien took second through fifth place in the 600-meter run: Alex Pear finished second at 1:54.90, Claire Gaffney finished third at 1.55.30, Sophie Long finished fourth at 1:55.50, and Caity Lowden finished fifth at 1:56.70. In the 1,600 meter, Meredith Ott finished sixth with a time of 5:50.40. In the 300-meter, Liz Heaney took third place with a time of 46.70 seconds, and Kathryn Close came in sixth place with a time of 47.60 seconds.

In the high jump, Sarah Dailey tied for fourth place. Charlotte Phillips won the pole vault, and Grace Brown and Lowden took third and fifth place, respectively. Phillips also won the long jump, and Katie Kirkman claimed fourth place. In shot put, Victoria Kominek came in second place, Niya Wright came in third place, and Natalie Metz came in sixth place.

In the 50-meter, Phillips claimed second place with a time of 7.30 seconds.
