An associate at St. Onge Steward Johnston & Reens LLC in Stamford, where he represents clients in a wide range of patent and trademark litigations, Welsh was recognized for his role as one of the section's social programming directors. Over the past year, he was instrumental in increasing the section's presence in Fairfield County by developing a series of networking events focused on young lawyers in southern Connecticut, according to a news release from the CBA.
Welsh also is a member of the CBA Intellectual Property Section Executive Committee. He regularly speaks to attorneys, clients and business people on how to effectively and efficiently identify, protect and assert intellectual property rights.
The Young Lawyers Section includes all members of the CBA who are 37 or younger, or who have been admitted to the bar for less than six full bar years.
