David Plank, 26, of 139 West Ave., Darien, was arrested Feb. 16 on charges of operating under the influence, failure to drive right and failure to carry a registration or insurance card.
Police said an officer who was on patrol at 12:45 a.m. observed Plank failing to use a turn signal when entering Tokeneke Road.
While following Plank's 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a short distance, the officer observed that Plank was tailgating a car in front of him, crossing the fog line several times, driving over the double yellow lines for about three seconds and swirling back to the other side almost hitting a snow bank, according to police.

Once the vehicle was stopped on Cliff Avenue, the officer noticed Plank had an alcohol odor on his breath and his eyes appeared to be glassy, police said.
He was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the report.
Police said Plank's car was registered and insured, but he man did not have the documentation in the vehicle.
He posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 26.
