William Barclay, 27, of 8 Prospect Ave., Darien, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
An officer stopped Barclay just before 1 a.m. when he saw him driving his 2002 Audi A6 the wrong way on Center Street, the report stated.
While speaking with Barclay, the officer noted he was "giddy" and his pupils were dilated, police said. The officer found a half-empty 12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer on the backseat, according to the report.
He was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, and refused to take a Breathalyzer test, according to police.
He was released on $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 6.
