A Greenwich man was arrested for drunk driving after swerving over the dividing line.
Herbert Foote, 50, of Greenwich, was observed heading west by police on Post Road around 12:11 a.m. on Aug. 16, police said. Foote went to turn right on Ledger Road and both of the driver's side tires on his 2000 Dodge Durango crossed the double yellow line.
Police pulled Foote over just before the I-95 south on ramp, and when they approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol, police said. Foote had difficulty finding his license and insurance and failed his field sobriety test, police said.
He was released on $250 bond and his scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.

A Tulip Tree Lane home was broken into while residents were away on vacation last Monday.
The incident was reported by the home's housekeeper after she began her daily tasks and noticed the rear glass door was smashed and open, police said.
The police checked the home but didn't find anyone and nothing appeared to have been taken. The home has an alarm system but it was not activated at time of the break-in, police said.
Police are unsure what was used to break the glass door.
Police are waiting for the family to return to determine if anything had been taken.

Police responded to a residence where a party was taking place after receiving a complaint about loud music.
At 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to Indian Spring Trail after receiving a complaint that loud music could be heard coming from a residence, police said. When the police arrived, they saw several youths outside the home who ran into the house yelling "Cops."
About 20 youths ran into the woods but the police were able to locate the female host of the party whose parents were in Vermont. The girl admitted to having a few beers and told police she had only invited a few friends over but more arrived, police said.
The girl told police she didn't try to stop the party.
Police found Keystone Light cans and a beer pong table set up as well as five other youths.
The girl was placed in the custody of a family member on a promise to appear in court Sept. 1.
