Juan Miranda, 35, of Stamford was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to display headlamps, failure to drive right, operating without a license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Oct. 20, according to police.

Police said he was seen driving a 1995 Toyota Celica westbound on the Post Road without the vehicle's headlights illuminated. The vehicle was stopped as it turned right onto West Norwalk Road, according to police.

Police said the officer noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Miranda and he subsequently failed field sobriety test. He posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
