Three men were arrested for driving while under the influence and other charges during a combination of roaming patrols and DUI checkpoints.

James O'Neal, 42, of 15 Raymond St., Jose Bisono, 23, of Stamford and Graham Ross, 18, of 9 Pasture Lane were arrested on Saturday.

O'Neal was exiting I-95 when he failed to stop at a stop sign before continuing to drive west on the Post Road, police said. A roaming patrol observed O'Neal cross the center line several times before he was stopped at 4:41 a.m. O'Neal was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to obey a stop sign and failure to drive right. He posted a $250 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Bisono entered a DWI checkpoint at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday on Tresser Boulevard when an officer noticed his 2003 Nissan Altima had a defective headlight, police said. Bisono told police he was heading home from his sister's house and had consumed a few beers that night. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and with a defective headlamp. Bisono was released on a promise to appear in court on

Tuesday.

Ross was traveling west on the Post Road on July 23 in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee when an officer doing a roaming patrol noticed Ross appeared to be speeding, police said. The officer observed Ross make a sudden right turn without signaling and pulled him over on Coachlamp Lane. The officer found a partial bottle of Bacardi rum in the vehicle, police said. Ross was charged with driving while intoxicated, improper turn and possession of alcohol by a minor. He posted a $250 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
