The run up to autumn in southwestern Connecticut will bless this Sunday with more sunny, cool weather.

The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature today -- nearly a week before Friday's official start to fall -- will be in the mid-60s. Skies will be clear and there will be a northeast wind around 11 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 51 degrees, the NWS says.

Tomorrow will be pretty much the same as today, with sunny skies and a high temperature in the upper-60s. Clouds move in tomorrow night and the temperature dips to the upper-50s.

On Tuesday, there's a chance of showers. Skies will be cloudy, with a high near 71 degrees. There continues to be a slight chance of precipitation Tuesday night with a low temperature of about 60 degrees.

Wednesday, the weather service predicts, will be partly sunny, with a high near 73 degrees.
