Darien resident Holly Hurd, of VentureMom, will moderate a panel of Westport mothers discussing strategies for running successful companies at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, in the Westport Library's McManus Room.
Women with ideas for businesses are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to get feedback on their plans. The event is free.
Hurd, the founder of VentureMom, has been featured in many publications for her work managing her own fund on Wall Street, and has spoken often about entrepreneurism. VentureMom is a resource for mothers who would like to start businesses. She offers a program called VentureHour, in which she talks with women for an hour to
help them determine
what kind of business they want to start and how to begin.
