Darien senior citizens are invited to participate in a free two-hour modest walking tour of the Norwalk Community College's East and West Campus buildings on Friday, March 22, hosted by Lifetime Learners.

The tour will include visiting the newly expanded health sciences nursing building; the new wellness fitness center; the culinary, computer, architectural and art classrooms; and the Baker Library.

Seniors can drive themselves or make advance reservations with Aging In Place+Gallivant for the 10 a.m. departure from the Darien Senior Center to arrive at NCC by 10:30 a.m. There is ample parking for cars on Fridays.

After the tour, at approximately 12:15 p.m., everyone will assemble in the East Campus lobby for a sandwich, beverages and desserts provided as part of Lifetime Learners Institute's so-called "Brown Bag Lunch & Learn" social hour with members. Afterward, there will be a 90-minute entertaining and educational program in the college's auditorium. The program will end by 2:30 p.m.

The tour is being sponsored by Lifetime Learners Institute, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary at NCC as a nonprofit adult educational organization for people over 50.

Reservations are required by calling the Darien Senior Activities Center by Monday, March 18, at 203-656-7455.
