Darien schoolchildren honored America's veterans during ceremonies and assemblies at their schools.

Students sang patriotic songs, others visited with veterans and active servicemen. At one school, students escorted nearly two dozen veterans down an "Honor Walk." Veterans also shared their personal experiences and talked to the students one-to-one.

All branches of the armed forces were represented at all of the functions.
