The Darien Fire Department third grade flag football team edged Conte Recycling 13-0 this week to even the season series at 1-1.

DFD had the benefit of an early long run by the game's offensive star Luke Ridder, who ran the ball the length of the field, only to be caught just short of the goal line. Ridder finished the drive the next play with another run, scoring his first touchdown of the year.

DFD's second touchdown was scored by Drew Amirsakis, who had another great game running the ball.

Conte had some bad luck when the half ran out just as they were about to take the ball in from the DFD 3-yard line.
