Anibal Erazo-Hidalgo, 24, of 20 Daly St., Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, April 4, on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.
He turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest, said police.
The charge stems from a Feb. 25 incident in which an iPhone 5 cell phone was stolen from a customer at the BMW of Darien, 140 Ledge Road, said police. The complainant reported that she was in the customer service area of the dealership waiting for her vehicle to be serviced, police said. At one point, she went to use the rest room and while getting up from her chair, her cell phone fell out of her jacket pocket, according to the report. Upon returning to her seat, she discovered the cell phone missing, said police.
