Darien High School students raised $900 at the second annual Empty Bowls fundraiser April 3.
Ceramics and honors art students donated their handmade bowls to raise money for Person-to-Person. Anyone who made a $3 to $5 donation received a sundae in one of the bowls, and the donor was asked to keep the bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.
The Empty Bowls Project is an international grass-roots effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.
