Erractic driving, defective light leads to charges in Darien

Eric Alovo, 22, of 152 Bouton St., Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, March 14, on charges of driving while intoxicated and defective brake lamp.

Police said Alovo was observed operating a 1995 BMW 735 on Interstate 95 north approaching exit 12 at approxmiately 1 a.m. The vehicle, according to police, was being operated in an erratice manner and had a defective brake lamp. Alovo was stopped on exit 13 ramp, and was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the report.

He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 25.
