Evelyne "Ev" Lang, a resident of Norwalk, died Monday, Nov. 22, in Norwalk. She was 75.

Born Jan. 26, 1935, in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Erika Bettleheim Hirsch.

Ms. Lang majored in Spanish at Barnard College and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1955, and was a Phi Beta Kappa. She also graduated from Columbia University in 1957 with a master's degree in Spanish.

Ms. Lang was a photojournalist and writer in Asia, Latin America and Africa. She published six children's books and was a volunteer Holocaust educator. Her clients included the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Bank, WHO, Unicef, General Motors, MacMillan, Grolier, W.R. Grace & Co., Life Magazine, IBM, Upjohn, Pfizer, Time Books and The New York Times among others.

Surivors include one daughter, Lynn Blank of Rowayton, and one granddaughter, Sophie.

A service was held at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Norwalk. A private family interment was held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
