FCA to host adoption info sessions

Family & Children's Agency in Norwalk has announced the 2012 schedule for adoption information sessions.

Meetings are scheduled for Jan. 5, Feb. 2, March 1, April 12, May 17, June 21, July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 13, Oct. 18, Nov. 15, and Dec. 6. All dates are Thursdays, and on each Thursday the session will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Meetings take place at the main office of the agency, 9 Mott Ave. in Norwalk. Anyone interested in adopting a child is invited to attend.

Mary Kate Locke, director of adoption and prevention services, will provide a detailed overview of the adoption process in Connecticut. She also will talk about the work of the agency with parents who have adopted children from the United States, China, Korea and Taiwan, as well as from the foster care program of the state's department of children and families.
