Jacek Pieszkin, 44, of 54 Lenox Ave., Stamford, was arrested on Friday, March 1, on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive right and failure to signal when turning after he was observed driving erratically on the Post Road.

At approximately 6:28 p.m., Darien Police Headquarters received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a Chevrolet Silverado was swerving in the roadway on the Post Road near Old Kings Highway South, police said.

A responding officer spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling westbound on the Post Road, said police, and then observed the vehicle travel over the double yellow line and into the oncoming traffic lane, and then turn right onto Dickinson Road without signaling.

Pieszkin was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed.

He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 11.
