The Darien YMCA, the Thriving Youth Task Force and the Darien Youth Commission are hosting Family Day Dinner Friday, Oct. 18.
The event takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Darien Y, 2420 Post Road.
The second annual "Family Day Dinner" will include dinner, swimming, open gym time, arts and crafts, games and goodie bags.
Family Day Dinner is a national initiative spearheaded by the National Center for Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University that informs parents about how the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America's kids substance free.
Space is limited so reservations are required and can be made by Wednesday, Oct. 16.
