Glenn J. Wolak of Darien died Tuesday, Nov. 30, after a long battle with cancer. He was 48.

Born in Bridgeport on March 8, 1962, he was the son of Ruth Seguin and Walter Wolak. Mr. Wolak grew up in Fairfield, graduated from Ludlowe High School in 1981 and attended Fairfield University. He worked for many years in advertising as a production manager at Ben Marketing Group and Austin Lawrence Inc. of Stamford. He was a member of St. Thomas More R.C. Church of Darien.

Mr. Wolak enjoyed remodeling his home and would spend hours on innumerable projects. He played saxophone, painted landscapes, rode his Ducati motorcycle and drove his Camaro.

Mr. Wolak is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lisa R. Wolak of Darien, two daughters, Victoria and Olivia, five brothers, Walter, Greg, Kevin, Jerry and Roger Wolak, two sisters, Marion Simmons and Ruth Carlson, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome relatives and friends Friday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, in Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 4, at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road in Darien. Interment will follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Darien.
