Halstead Property hosted its annual meeting at Cipriani at 42nd Street in Manhattan on Feb. 29. There were more than 900 Halstead brokers, realtors and executives in attendance at this year's event Fairfield County was well-represented with many local brokers winning coveted awards, including Darien's Eileen Hanford who led the evening in recognitions along with Mary Higgins from Halstead's New Canaan office.
Eileen Hanford, a third generation realtor with 32 years of experience, joined Halstead in 2009. At Halstead's annual meeting, she won the "Realtor of the Year" in the Darien and Rowayton Offices, "Most Rental Deals Closed" in Connecticut, "Most Sales Deals Closed" in Connecticut and "Listings Realtor of the Year" in Connecticut. She tied with Mary Higgins for "Top Realtor of the Year" in Connecticut with only a slight difference in gross commission dollars.
Mary Higgins, with more than 21 years of experience, has been a top producer for the New Canaan office since joining Halstead in 2009. She was the winner of "Realtor of the Year" in the New Canaan office in addition to her honor as the Connecticut "Realtor of the Year."
Chris Finlay was the winner of the "Realtor of the Year" award in the Greenwich office and also took home honors for "Top Rental Deal" in Connecticut. Pat Abagnale was the winner of "Realtor of the Year" in the Westport office, Tammy Felenstein won "Realtor of the Year" for the Stamford office and Helen Whitten won "Realtor of the Year" for the Wilton office.
Halstead introduced a new award called the Strategy Star Award presented to realtors and the winners from Halstead's Connecticut offices included:
- Becky Munro in the Darien office
- Patti Fieber in the New Canaan office
- Sandy Edwards in the Westport office
- Helen Whitten in the Wilton office
