Robert Houseworth, 59, 597 Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested May 19 on a charge of second-degree trespassing.
Darien police were dispatched at 11 a.m. to the woods of Woodland Park on Middlesex Road, where a woman reported she found a man sleeping.
Houseworth, who is homeless, has been told by police that he cannot sleep in the park, according to the report. Police were called the previous week on a report of him sleeping in the woods, but they were only able to find his camp, the report stated.
In the recent incident, police reminded Houseworth that he was not allowed to sleep in the woods. He told police he had only spent one night, the report stated.
The Stamford address is the site of the regional homeless shelter.
Houseworth was held in lieu of $250 bond and was scheduled to appear in court May 20.
