To the Editor:
The Board of Directors of At Home In Darien would like to publicly extend our heartfelt thanks to Judy Rodriguez and her family for the very kind and generous donation of a new handicap accessible vehicle for the Darien community. The four-passenger Toyota Sienna will be utilized by Darien seniors and the disabled to help them maintain their independence.
The vehicle, donated in memory of Paul Rodriguez, will be available for transportation Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to any destination within Darien, Stamford, Norwalk and New Canaan. The new minivan is comfortable, fuel efficient and attractive. Riders find it appealing and the service convenient. The minivan replaces the multi-passenger "Gallivant" bus and joins our Mercury sedan to transport seniors wherever they would like to go.
Please call our office to schedule a ride in one of our vehicles. For rides at times outside our regular service hours, or to other destinations, please call our office to request a volunteer driver who will drive you in their own car. We can be reached at 203-655-2227.
