DARIEN — A woman had her Lexus stolen while getting lunch downtown.

On Dec. 1 around 1:15 p.m., the woman parked on the Post Road near the intersection with Corbin Drive. She went to a nearby restaurant and left the car unlocked, with her keys in the cup holder. When she returned, she found her car was not where she left it.

The woman originally thought her car was towed. However, police searched the area and found camera footage from a nearby gas station showed someone walk past the car, turn around, open the door and get into the car. The suspect then drove away, going westbound on the Post Road.

Police could not get a description of the suspect due to the quality of the video and the distance from which it was filmed. However, the investigation is ongoing.
