Danbury officials sigh happily

after Stewart sentencing

Martha Stewart isn't coming to Danbury, and that's a good thing city officials said.

A judge ordered the domestic diva to serve her five-month sentence for lying about a stock transaction in a federal prison in West Virginia. Stewart wanted to serve her jail term at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury.

"Actually I'm relieved because of the stress it would put on having her here

. . . with the media and managing the media," said Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton. "The security would have been very difficult."
