King Senior Max Wardaki announced his decision to attend Princeton University on National Signing Day, February 2. Wardaki is a four-year starter at left offensive tackle and defensive end with more than 270 total career tackles. He was a member of two undefeated FAA championship teams, a two-time FAA All-League Player, 2010 All New England Player, and 2010 King Football Lineman of the Year. Max is also four-year member of the varsity basketball team
Wardaki said he chose Princeton for its unique blend of academics and athletics.
"The opportunity to attend one of the best schools in the country and continue my football career was one that I felt I could not pass up," he said. "At the beginning of the recruiting process I knew that I wanted a school with high standards in both academics and athletics, and I really feel that Princeton is a perfect match."
Wardaki is the son of Karim and Stephanie Wardaki of Darien.
