Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be the featured speaker at the Darien League of Women Voters' Fall Kick Off Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 18, and will discuss the importance of elections, voting and the governor's role in increasing participation.
The luncheon takes place at noon at the Country Club of Darien with an 11:45 a.m. check-in time. The program is open to LWV members and their guests. The cost is $45.
On June 4, Malloy signed in to law An Act Concerning Voting Rights, which is designed to make voter registration more efficient and increase participation in elections. He will discuss the act.
