Man arrested for bad check

William Horlacher, 46, of New Haven, was charged with issuing a bad check and third-degree larceny on Aug. 17 after he purchased a bicycle on July 15.

Pedal and Pump contacted police after Horlacher purchased a $2,064.93 bike with a check. It was later learned the checking account had been closed in 2009.

He posted a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.
