Eugene Freidman, 52, of Stamford was arrested on June 11 for breach of peace, risk to a minor and threatening, police said.
Freidman went to Stop & Shop in the Goodwives shopping plaza at 2:20 p.m. to complete a Western Union transaction, police said. The supervisor handling the transfer asked Freidman to redo the form because the name on his identification and the name on the form didn't match. Freidman became angry and started using profane language as he left the store. When he reached the entrance, he threw flowers and plants on the ground while still yelling profanities in front of a group of girl scouts who were holding a bake sale, police said.
He posted a $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on June 22.
