Man charged with DWI

Robert Pleasants, 65, of 38 Relihan Road was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to drive right Tuesday, May 22.
Darien Police Department received a call at 10:45 p.m. reporting a possibly intoxicated person getting into a vehicle and leaving the Pear Tree Point Beach parking lot. The caller also provided a vehicle description, a 1992 Dodge Caravan, and the vehicle's registration, police said.
Police spotted Pleasants vehicle on Old Kings Highway South crossing over the center line on several occasions.
Police said he failed his field sobriety tests, posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 4.
