James Severine, 48, of 410 West Ave., turned himself on a charge of second-degree breach of peace after being contacted about a warrant for his arrest Monday, May 21.

The arrest stems from a complaint received by Darien police on April 16 from a female neighbor of Severine, claiming that he had been engaging in activities that caused her to be fearful for her safety. During the most recent incident, police said, the complainant alleged that Severine called her derogatory names and engaged in behaviors which she considered disturbing.

The police had been called to the apartment building on West Avenue in the past by other tenants complaining about Severine's behavior.
