A Killingworth man suffered minor injuries after falling out of his vehicle while driving on Interstate 95 Tuesday morning.

Robert W. Craig, 51, fell from his vehicle onto the road but was not struck by any vehicles, a press release from Connecticut State Police said. It is unknown how he fell out of the vehicle. A passerby helped Craig to the shoulder of the road, but Craig's vehicle, a 2006 Dodge Charger, continued down the road for about two-10ths of a mile before striking a light pole and metal guide rail, the release said.

Craig suffered abrasions to his head, face, abdomen, arms, hands and legs, according to the release.

Craig was transported by Darien EMS to Stamford Hospital where he was admitted for treatment and observation.

The accident is still under investigation.
