A 19-year-old Darien male, seen running naked through yards on Stephen Mather Road Monday afternoon, was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, risk of injury to a minor and interfering with an officer, according to police.

Police said Eric Christensen, 17 Thomasina Lane, Darien, was observed around 4:30 p.m. trying to gain entry to the homes.

Officers located Christensen on Maplewood Drive, police said, and chased him on foot.

Christensen entered an occupied home on Stephen Mather Road, the report stated, ran through the house and refused to comply with officers.

He then entered a room where two small children were, police said.

Officer fought to restrain Christensen and had to subdue him with a stun gun, police said. He was then taken into custody.

Police said Christensen was under the influence of a hallucinogenic narcotic and was hospitalized. Police would not identify which narcotic Christensen used.

He posted a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 11.
