A woman shot between the eyes with an Airsoft gun on Aug. 31 will not press charges, according to police.
Airsoft guns are non-lethal and use compressed air to fire pellets.
Police met with the 43-year-old victim at her Woodway Road home, police said. She told police that she saw several youths in the woods in her backyard and when she opened the rear sliding door, she was hit with one of the pellets on the bridge of her nose, police said.
Several other pellets hit the house, according to police. The victim said she knew two of the youths lived on Hoyt Street, according to the report.
Police went to the Hoyt Street home and, in the garage, saw two Airsoft guns in plain view, according to the report.
Police spoke with the homeowner, who told police that she had no idea her sons had been involved in the incident.
Police then spoke with the two sons and two of their friends about the incident. The teenagers told police that one of their friends, who had gone to his home, was the one who shot the woman, police said.
The victim told police that she did not want to press charges against the 13-year-old shooter, and wanted only an apology, police said.
