Norwalk man charged with DWI

Avidan Galeano, 32, of 11 Elizabeth St., Norwalk, was arrested on Saturday, March 2, on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and failure to drive right.

At approximately 2:39 a.m., police said, an officer observed a 1991 Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on the Post Road near Beach Drive. The vehicle crossed the center line on several occasions and struck the curb in the area of Old Kings Highway South, police said.

Galeano failed field sobriety tests, said police.

He was released on written promise to appear in court on Tuesday, March 12.
