DARIEN — A 31-year-old Norwalk man is out $300 after his wallet was stolen from the Darien Whole Foods.
On June 5 around 7 p.m., the man accidentally left his wallet on a counter at the Ledge Road business. When he realized he left his wallet behind, he returned to the counter to find it missing. Video surveillance showed another man taking the wallet several minutes after the man left it behind. The suspect purchased items with cash at the register before leaving the store.
The wallet was brown and from Nautica. It contained $300 in cash, a Connecticut driver’s license, a debit card, business cards and other personal papers.
The suspect is described as a white man of medium build. He is about five feet eight inches tall, wearing light blue or khaki shorts, black sneakers and a green-and-white-striped, hooded sweatshirt over a black t-shirt. A white woman with dark hair wearing blue pants, a black jacket and black shoes accompanied him. She was carrying a large black purse.
Police do not know the identity of the suspects at this time.
