DARIEN — A 19-year-old Norwalk woman was charged with failing to appear in court on assault charges after Darien Police discovered a warrant out for her arrest when she was in a car they pulled over.
On Sept. 30 around 6:50 p.m., a patrol officer pulled over a car on the Post Road for not having its rear license plate illuminated. While investigating, the officer discovered Jazzmer Dyer, of Fairfield Avenue, a passenger in the car, had a warrant out for her arrest for failing to appear in court on disorderly conduct and third-degree assault charges.
Dyer was placed under arrest and brought to Darien Police Headquarters. She posted a $5,000 bond and was given a new court date of Oct. 10.
