Pear Tree Point students qualify for National Talent search

David Trigaux, headmaster of Pear Tree Point School in Darien, announced that 74 percent of students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades have qualified for the Johns Hopkins University 2013 National Talent search.

"The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth is a valuable partner. We congratulate our students on their achievements," he said.

The fourth-grade students who qualified are Eloise Foster, Jonty Hammer, Sasha Bakhramov, Teddy Cashman, Andie Durkin, Harrison Stevens, Corin Riahi, Baker Beck, Abby Nason, Holly Silva, Julian Brawn, Shea Duffy, Karsten Rynearson, Ivey Gehring, Dagny Streit, Thomas Edwards, Jessica Horkovich, Patrick Murphy, Maggie Ramsay, Kevin Kuryla, Kyle Haas, Sydney Allen, Mason Hedley, Catherine Dwyer, Dylan Evershed, Lane Murphy, Owen Sharp, Claire Moore, Emma Hawkins and Edward Nagler.

The fifth- and sixth-grade students who qualified are Lindsay Hall, Will Lodge, Keaton Abbott, Michael Stanfield, Taylor Glanville, Grant Goodrick, Holly Knight, Audrey Pizzolato, Kiernan Barket, Nicolas Madon, K.K. Seiter, Evan DeVita, Claire Pittaro, Cavan Duffy, Clara Goulding, Graham Reichhelm, Alexander Peters, Lucas Graham Brown, Anthony Pizzolato, Caroline Blake, Alex Yuen, Sofia Segalla, Alexandra Bowman and Charlotte Gelhaus.

To qualify, students needed to score no lower than the 95th percentile on the Educational Records Bureau Test, which was given in spring and used by independent schools throughout the world.
