A 16-year-old employee of the Darien Playhouse, 1077 Post Road, suffered scratches and cuts to her face and bruising under her right eye after she was assaulted by a group of females on Sunday, Jan. 27.

At approximately 5:11 p.m., police received a report of an assault in progress at the playhouse. Upon arrival, officers determined that several females had arrived as a group and attacked the female employee, who was working at the concession stand, according to the report. The attackers, police said, already had left the area by the time officers arrived.

Police said the employee and at least one of the attackers know each other and there had been prior tensions between them.
