On Saturday, Aug. 4, police charged a Mississippi man with breach of peace.

According to the report, a warrant was issued for the arrest of William Jones, 39, of Columbus, Miss., stemming from an Aug. 2 incident. According to the report, Jones was captured on video urinating in the garbage can in the police department lobby, one day after his solicitors permit was revoked by Darien Police. Jones was able to exit the department and enter a waiting van before officers could stop him.

At the time the permit was revoked, Jones was selling magazines for a company identified as Liberty Sales of Houston. The permit was revoked due to the fact that he had another person working with him at the time and they were both using his permit which is a violation.

Stratford Police located Jones at a local hotel and took him into custody based on the Darien warrant. Jones was brought to Darien where he was processed. He was released on a promise to appear Aug. 14. A bail commissioner granted Jones a promise to appear in court Aug. 14.
