An 18-year-old female resident of Half Mile Road reported seeing a prowler in her yard at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. The woman was in her bathroom when she thought she noticed a figure outside her window; she turned on the light, at which point she saw an individual run through the yard, police said. She described him as a white male who appeared to be a teenager, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and skinny jeans. The State Police tracked the suspect's scent with the aid of a K9, but lost the scent near Shagbark Road, according to police.

A male resident of Joseph Street reported seeing a prowler on his lawn at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. The resident stepped onto his porch with his dog to take the dog for a walk, and heard a rustling in the bushes below the porch, causing the dog to growl. He then saw an individual run away, in the direction of West Avenue and Hollow Tree Ridge Road, police said. The resident told police the individual was wearing white sneakers and either gray sweatpants or light blue jeans, he also thought he was tall and skinny, police said.

An Xbox, controllers, 20 games and an iPod Touch were reported stolen from a residence on Plymouth Lane on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 14. According to police, the homeowner left the residence unlocked at 7:30 a.m.; when he returned at 3:10 p.m., the front door was wide open. The game console, controllers and games, worth about $500, were missing from the family room; the iTouch, worth about $300, was missing from the living room, police said.

A saddle was reported taken from the tack room at the Ox Ridge Hunt Club, at 512 Middlesex Road on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The dark brown leather, English-style riding saddle, which belongs to a member, is valued at $4,800, police said. It was last placed in the tack room on Saturday, Dec. 12, along with the other 40 to 50 saddles stored in the room, and was discovered missing at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, police said.

A Darien woman reported her purse and wallet stolen after the front passenger-side window of her 2009 Mercedes ML550 was smashed in the parking lot of the Kings Highway Tennis Club at 86 Old King's Highway N. at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The woman parked and locked her car in the parking lot at 1:35 p.m., leaving her purse on the front passenger seat; when she returned to the lot at 3 p.m., she found the window smashed and her dark brown, cloth Fendi purse, valued at $400, containing a gold Prada wallet, valued at $500, several credit cards, her driver's license and various other documents was missing, police said. A cell phone and iPod were left untouched in the car, according to police.

Seven-thousand dollars in cash was stolen from the center console of a 2009 Chevy Silverado, left unlocked in a driveway on Plymouth Road, police said. The incident was reported at 5:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, but police said it occurred between 10 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 and 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11. The cash, which consisted of 70 $100 bills, was meant to be used as bonuses for the complainant's employees, police said.

Sasan Maramkhah, 22, of Stamford, was arrested for possession of marijuana and failure to obey a red light at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Maramkhah was driving a 1997 Dodge Caravan west bound on Post Road when he failed to stop at the red light at the corner of Post Road and Hecker Avenue, police said. The police officer observed a plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance in the center ash tray of the minivan, police said. Maramkhah was held on a $500 bond, and spent the night in the female cell block, since the male cell block was fully occupied for the night, police said. He attended court the next morning.

A wallet was reported stolen from the employee area of Bertucci's at 54 Post Road on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 8:45 p.m. The wallet's owner, a restaurant employee, left her purse, containing the wallet, on an empty rack at 4:30 p.m.; when she returned at 8:15 p.m., she noticed the wallet missing, police said. The wallet contained a driver's license, passport, a couple credit cards and $16 in cash, police said.

A Vera Bradley wallet, containing $200 cash, a credit card and a driver's license was reported stolen at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The wallet's owner, a Darien woman, last saw her wallet while she was at Ten Twenty Post, at 1020 Post Road, between 12:45 and 2:30 p.m. that afternoon; she realized the wallet was missing about 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant, police said.

A Darien woman reported vandalism to her 2004 Lexus RX 330 at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The woman had parked her car at Town Hall, located at 2 Renshaw Road, from 2 to 4 p.m., police said. When she returned to her car, she found that someone had thrown tomatoes at the car's hood, according to police. Police said this was not a random act, and it is currently under investigation.

Marco Gaona, 23, of Norwalk was arrested for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to drive right at 1 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17. An officer said he witnessed Gaona drive his 1992 Mazda 626 over the double-yellow line twice and drive completely into the opposite lane while traveling northbound on Tokeneke Road near the Interstate-95 entrance ramp, police said. The officer detected the odor of alcohol on Gaona's breath; Gaona failed his field sobriety test, police said. He posted a $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 30.

A resident of Spring Grove Street reported vandalism to his 2008 Nissan Sentra at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17. The car was last seen intact when the owner parked it in front of his residence at 1 a.m. on Dec. 17; when he returned to the car at 7:30 a.m., the resident found that both driver's side tires had been flattened, police said.

Christopher Pinto, 38, of 70 Christy Hill Road, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The original incident occurred on Oct. 9, when Pinto's mother told police he had taken her credit card from her purse and used it without her permission, police said. He allegedly used the card twice at the Stop & Shop on Oct. 8: once at 11:10 a.m., for $206.42; and once at 2:40 p.m. for $153.77, police said. Pinto was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 28.

A purse was reported stolen from a 2007 Jeep Patriot parked in the parking lot of the Darien YMCA at 2420 Post Road on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8:56 p.m. The car's owner left the purse on the passenger seat when she parked the SUV at 7:30 p.m., police said. She returned to her car at 8 p.m., at which point there was no damage. A member reported seeing the passenger side window smashed at 8:40 p.m., police said. The purse contained no valuables, according to police.

A green leather wallet containing credit cards and $80 in cash was reported stolen from Panera Bread at 1063 post Road on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 8:45 p.m. The wallet's owner, a Norwalk woman, told police the wallet was inside her purse, which hung from the back of her chair at the eatery; she left her seat once to retrieve her food from the counter, police said. She received a voicemail regarding fraudulent activity on her Visa card later that evening. According to police, the card was used for a $1,000 purchase at 6:45 p.m. at the Target in Stamford; there were two additional attempts to use the card at the same location, but both were denied. Another card, issued by Fairfield County Bank, was used at the Best Buy in Norwalk to make a $1,377.99 purchase; it was also used to make a $6.43 purchase at the Stamford Target at 6:42 p.m., and a purchase for $1,000 was declined at 6:45 p.m., police said.

A 2000 Audi A4 belonging to a Darien resident was reported stolen from the Eastbound parking lot at the Darien Train Station on Saturday, Dec. 18. The car's owner parked it in the lot at 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. When he returned at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 18, the vehicle was gone, police said. There was no broken glass near the scene, and police said there was no indication that the car had been left unlocked.
