Rental car stolen outside of residence

On Wednesday, May 2, police received a report of a stolen Avis rental vehicle, described as a 2013 Ford Explorer, which had been parked in front of a residence on Hollow Tree Ridge Road.

According to the report, a visiting relative rented the vehicle and arrived at the residence on May 1 at 6 p.m. The vehicle was last observed at 10 p.m. on May 1. It was discovered missing at 8 a.m. May 2. Police said the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft and the operator had the keys. The vehicle also contained $2,500 worth of clothing.
